Studying Satan’s Ways

Peeking

If you’re unfamiliar with Carolyn Hamlett and Loren Grace, I recommend you read their (free) book, Doctrines of Demons: Exposing Christian Witchcraft.

Carolyn and Loren are two amazing women with incredible discernment who constantly point you to God’s word. I don’t know them, but I admire and respect everything they’ve written on their blogs and in their book.

I was catching up on their blog, and their posts always amaze me.

One topic discussed in this article is vital. It is “Christian” mysticism.

Over the years, I’ve been convicted not to investigate esoteric messages. I urge every Christian not to look into these things as well. Whether it’s gematria, predictive programming decoding, the Kabbalah, NWO conspiracies, the “Matrix,” secret societies, and so on.

Even making claims such as the vaccine being the mark of the beast is harmful. The mark of the beast is the number of a man.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Revelation 13:18
Studying Satan’s Ways

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:3

I would like to quote some parts from their article that are important. The article is very long and I suggest you read it.

From Carolyn and Loren:

This is an alarming trend within many so-called “Christian” groups: take something from the occult and claim it came from God. They will sometimes say they do this because they believe that “God has a truth for every counterfeit that comes from Satan,” or something similar. Or they might say they are “taking it back for God.” (To read a little more about these ideas, see the terms in our glossary, “Spiritual battle and spiritual warfare” and “Don’t put God in a box.”) And so, by their “logic,” they study Satan’s ways to find out about God’s ways. But God never had any part of the occult, so there’s no “taking it back for” Him. And I’ll repeat it again: you can’t learn God’s ways by studying Satan’s ways. Here’s what Scripture says: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” “This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” Isaiah 5:20 and 1 John 1:5, KJV

And later in this blog article, I will be explaining how the demonic use these types of lies (such as “three days of darkness”) to bring deception. I believe it’s important to understand so as to avoid falling for such deceptions that have been planned for the future. With those things said, though, I have to remind you that the best way to pick up on wrong prophecies (or to pick up on anything that doesn’t line up with God’s Word) is not to have knowledge of Luciferian ways, but to have knowledge of God’s ways. We separate the truth from the lie not by studying and becoming intimately familiar with the lie, but by becoming intimately familiar with the truth. Consider Matthew 7:13-14: “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus Christ is the only Way to the Father, and we can’t find Jesus Christ by searching for Satan/Lucifer. Jesus Christ is Truth, and we can’t find truth by studying and chasing after lies. But Carolyn and I have witnessed an increasing number of professed Christians make this very mistake! God delivered me from the ungodly mindset that I had fallen prey to as well, so I’m not poking fun, but I am speaking from my own painful experiences. For example, Carolyn and I have seen many self-proclaimed Christians who have been fooled into thinking there is some sort of “spiritual law” that states that the demonic and occult groups (from what we’ve heard, people most often claim it’s the Illuminati) are obligated, because of this so-called “spiritual law,” to tell the general public about their plans before they are allowed to implement those plans. This is a false assumption, but people fall for it anyway because they don’t consider the source … (the “source” is usually from the imagination of a mystic-minded “Christian,” or from the mouth of a so-called “ex-Illuminati member,” or from an occult book, or something similar) … and they haven’t studied the Bible to see if it’s true. (As Christians, our source for any spiritual truth should be the Word of God. Not demons, not “ex-Illuminati,” not mystics, not occult books. But the Word of God.) As a result, in order to “stay ahead of the game” or in order to be “in the know” about Satan’s plans, those people begin spending an inordinate amount of time studying the occult and the ways of the world, rather than studying God’s ways and His plans that are found within the pages of His Word (the Bible). Eventually they are drawn deeper into the occult, get sucked deeper into the so-called “truths” of Satan’s lies, lose themselves into more and more “Christian” mysticism, and ultimately, they turn away from the truth of God and embrace the lies of Satan. ⇒ But we are led by the Spirit of God not by following other spirits and seeking “truth” from them, but by reading His Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of our understanding, leading us into Truth! Please consider the words I wrote some time back on a blog on my personal website: I’ve watched many people get caught up in researching and seeking and probing into the Satanic underground, looking for answers, looking for the truth (why do you think you can find the truth where lies are crafted?) and then get sucked into that proverbial rabbit-hole, unable to pull themselves back to what really matters in life. (hint: what really matters is a relationship with the Heavenly Father) They seek after the lies to find the truth. (you will never come to know the truth by studying the lie, and until you learn to recognize the truth, you will never recognize the lie) Eventually, the rabbit hole becomes their reality, as they are drawn after deeper and greater sensationalism. Deeper and greater mysteries. Deeper and greater revelations. Let me remind you that Satan’s lies are plentiful. There is no need to go searching them out, because they will practically knock down your front door, regardless of whether you are looking for them or not. But God’s Word is Truth. So make it a habit to study God’s ways, not Satan’s (Lucifer’s) ways, and in this way, you will be better equipped to recognize those lies that try to crash through your door. Reminder: when I say “study God’s ways,” I do not mean “go to YouTube and listen to someone talk about their latest so-called ‘dream from god’ they had.” I do not mean, “peruse social media and read posts about so-and-so’s latest so-called ‘word from god’ they got that morning.” I do not mean, “pick up a book and read someone’s account of their spiritual experiences of being taken to a so-called ‘heavenly place.’” I do not mean, “listen to someone talk about their latest supposed ‘trip to heaven.’” But I mean: “pick up the Bible and study it.“ Being aware of the wiles of the enemy (Satan) is important, I agree. And it’s important to be able to have someone help us see those things that we can’t see ourselves. But what is more important is being properly educated on the written Word of God (the Bible). This is why Carolyn and I do our best on our blogs to not only point out and warn against that which is of Satan, but to then point people in the right direction, and to do our best to explain why one thing or the other is not Scriptural. But if we, as Christians, are studying more of Satan’s ways rather than God’s ways, that is an indication that something is wrong. If we are talking more about Satan’s ways than God’s ways, that is an indication that something is wrong. If we get a thrill more out of seeking after the sensational than seeking His Word, that is an indication that something is wrong. If we are more interested in having a relationship with or receiving messages from a so-called “angel or messenger from God” rather than a relationship with the Father Himself, that is an indication that something is wrong. It can sometimes feel like a balancing act, between pointing out the danger and pointing to the Truth, and I don’t know if we always get it right, but we do our best to stay vigilant. And I’m just urging you, dear reader, to do the same: just be vigilant.

It’s important to explain why Satan and the demonic put out the types of information (deceptions and lies) that circulate within Christian circles, such as with the “three days and nights of gross darkness,” because he does things like this, over and over again, with every single deception, and so many Christians fall for it, mostly (in our observation and personal experiences) because they fail to line things up with the properly exegeted Word of God. First, though, I want to quickly reiterate that you don’t actually need to be aware of how Satan’s plan works. As noted before, all you truly need to be aware of is the Truth of God’s Word; and then, Satan’s deceptions will be clear to you. However, since Carolyn and I have experiences with having been a part of working within Satan’s hierarchy, and since some people need further explanation in order to understand how horribly they have gone astray and are walking on dangerous ground, so to speak, in their dealings with occult matters, we believe it can be helpful to share a certain amount of detail regarding how the demonic work and why they do what they do.” “The demonic certainly want to control the narrative surrounding Biblical prophesies, because it adds confusion to people, particularly self-proclaimed Christians who are “prophesy minded,” because such people are unnaturally and unbiblically focused on prophesy rather than on the Heavenly Father, and are prone to being manipulated through the fear and excitement brought about because of their constant pondering and speculation over prophesy. (Such people are addicted to fear, because fear brings excitement and an adrenaline high.) So I see this as being no different concerning the prophesies about the sun turning dark. It seems obvious to me that Satan and his fallen are planning on using their narrative that they have fostered for centuries now, to deceive ignorant and self-proclaimed “Christians” into welcoming the fallen angels, who will be disguised, of course, as “angels of God” that are bringing “protection” and “guidance” during a period of darkness that may or may not last for three days (because ultimately, the actual timing of any such event is controlled by God and not by the demonic).
